CNC machine accessories / Bar guiding
For CNC lathes
Machining quality depends on how the bar is guided inside the spindle. Spindle liners reduce vibration: higher cutting speeds, longer tool life and a better surface finish.
bar + 2 mm
recommended inner diameter of the spindle liner
Ø55–105 mm
spindle bore, 4 categories

Ø8–80 mm
bar diameter, SE 880
1600 mm
max. bar length, SE 880
Why it matters
If the bar moves freely in the spindle bore, it starts to vibrate at high speed. A spindle liner adapts the bore to the bar diameter, so the bar stays guided as it rotates.
01
A guided bar allows higher cutting speeds and shorter cycle times.
02
Less vibration is easier on the tool: fewer insert changes, less downtime.
03
More accurate dimensions and a better surface finish, with less rework and scrap.
