A compact solution for bars no longer than the spindle.
On conventional CNC lathes running small and medium batches, a short bar feeder pays for itself quickly: changeover takes seconds and the machine keeps running unattended.
Their small footprint lets them fit where a long bar feeder would not. If needed, we survey your site to select the right model and interface for your machine.

Bar magazine
Bars are loaded into the magazine. The QLS 105 is also available with a standard, heavy-duty or lift magazine.

Servo loading
The servo drive and PLC push the bar to the turret precisely and without impact.

Quick changeover
Partial changeover in 15 seconds, full changeover with pusher change in approx. 2 minutes (QLS 65).

Slide-away for service
Slides away in the X or Z direction and locks with a foot pedal: no realignment needed after machine maintenance.
How it works
What if you need to feed 1.6 m bars?
A short bar feeder loads bars up to the length of the spindle. Add a spindle extension and bars up to 1.6 m can be fed as well.

Bar length
Set by the length of the spindle and the chuck. With a spindle extension: 1.6 m.

Pusher
Reaches up to 1680 mm and pushes the bar forward to the back of the collet: minimal remnant.

Spindle liner
Centers the bar in the spindle. Quick to change.
